Would you do it if you knew it?
I wonder sometimes if we really understand how complete and thorough that God knows us?
If we really and truly believed that God knows everything about us would we do some of the things we do.
It is remarkable for me to know that God loves me because He knows everything about me.
He knows my faults, my weaknesses. The things I like to do and the things I don’t. The people I like and the people I struggle with liking.
I heard someone say that God hates all the same people we do. I wonder if He likes that characterization, seeing that He loves us all and expects us to do the same.
I just want to encourage everyone that God loves you and He knows everything about you. We don’t have to try to disguise ourselves in doctrine or religion when it is not real. God knows us as we are. Whether we are strong or weak. Regardless of our fears and doubts; God knows us and He loves us.
Jeremiah 23:23-24 KJV
Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? 24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
Message
“Am I not a God near at hand”and not a God far off?
Can anyone hide out in a corner where I can’t see him?” “Am I not present everywhere, whether seen or unseen?”
This passage tells us the remarkable closeness that God has and feels for His people. A God Near at hand. Not a God so far away that what concerns us does not concern Him.
He is a God that fills our world, this world with His presence.
He knows where we are and what is going on in our lives.
John 1:47-48 KJV
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! 48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Message
47When Jesus saw him coming he said, “There’s a real Israelite, not a false bone in his body.” 48Nathanael said, “Where did you get that idea? You don’t know me.” Jesus answered, “One day, long before Philip called you here, I saw you under the fig tree.”
Christ knows our particular circumstances and that realization on our part should increase our faith and strengthen our resolve to move forward. No circumstances or failures can hide us from the grace of God. He is ever present in our lives to help us change our circumstances and rise above our failures.
Luke 6:6-8 KJV
And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
Message
On another Sabbath he went to the meeting place and taught. There was a man there with a crippled right hand. The religion scholars and Pharisees had their eye on Jesus to see if he would heal the man, hoping to catch him in a Sabbath infraction. He knew what they were up to and spoke to the man with the crippled hand: “Get up and stand here before us.” He did.
Christ knows the hearts of those who do not believe and want to see you fail. Believe me, He has a way of blessing you no matter what others think. That is because He knows the thoughts and the hearts of the people around you. Just as well as He knows yours and He will make it a point to bless you in the midst of all the doubt and criticism.
God knows who His people are and the mission that He has given everyone of us.
II Timothy 2:19 KJV
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels
Message
Meanwhile, God’s firm foundation is as firm as ever, these sentences engraved on the stones: God knows who belongs to him. Spurn evil, all you who name God as God.
God knows. He cares. He understands and He loves. Be encouraged that you are not alone. God sees you right now in the circumstances of your life and still His call is real, His foundation sure, and your destiny is ordered by the grace of God.
