Can You Feel The Darkness Tremble?

Can you feel the darkness tremble. These are words from a song I heard back in the 90’s from a group called delirious.
These words came to my heart today as I was thinking and praying for the upcoming service at Amazing Life Church.
The power of the church as a body is magnified many times when unity is realized in our midst.
The petty squabbles and bickering that occurs from time to time only serve to distract us from the message and the ministry will be left undone in the process.
I thank God every day for the folks that have assembled to serve at Amazing Life Church. Hardly a service goes by without a unified prayer for our community and the mission that God has called us to do.
Pastors,we would all do well to remind our folks often that the power Christ transferred to His church would be extreme when joined with a unified group of people.
The darkness would truly tremble at the sound of such a church. Our core mission as the global body of Christ is to share the truth of the Gospel. Yes, meeting needs and ministering to the people along the way is a must. Yet our goal is to leave an imprint of Christ on people’s lives so that the Holy Spirit can lead them to a decision.
The sound of a single voice is stronger when the body is aligned with the vision of that voice.
Pray for unity. In it lies the power to cause the darkness to tremble.
