The Gift of the Holy Spirit
I had on my mind this past weekend the wonderful grace of God in giving to His church the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
In our relationship with God He has covered all the bases by equipping us to be successful in our walk with Him.
He sent us the Comforter, “Holy Spirit” to establish certain things in our lives.
I want to talk of them individually this week but for now I just want to share the promise of the Spirit.
John 14:15-17 NIV
15 If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
However you want to read this He has singled out those who love Him to be filled with His Spirit.
To those who will obey Him the Spirit offers great comfort and peace.
We must love Him, love others as he loves them, and obey His commands in any endeavor we undertake.
There will be no shortage of grace to see it through to success.
